A mobile clinic set up in a rural primary school compound provided diagnostic screenings for more than one hundred forty mothers and infants.

In remote areas of Guto Gida, the nearest comprehensive hospital is more than four hours away on unpaved roads. Routine preventative care is often delayed until symptoms become acute.

During the outreach day, volunteer physicians and midwives performed prenatal checks, distributed essential vitamins, and screened for early cardiovascular risks.

“Early detection turns life-threatening complications into manageable conditions.”

Three mothers requiring specialized antenatal care were referred immediately with transportation and follow-up support covered by the foundation.

Monthly clinic days are now scheduled in rotation across four rural kebeles.
