Saturday cooking and service teams are recruiting new members. Volunteers commit to one Saturday morning per month for a six-month term, supporting hot meal preparations that serve over ninety vulnerable elders in central Addis Ababa.
Roles include ingredient prep, cooking traditional stews and injera distribution, table service, and companionship with elderly guests. No professional culinary experience is necessary; comprehensive orientation and hygiene training are provided before each rotation begins.
To ensure safety and quality of care, prospective volunteers must attend an introductory briefing session. Applications are accepted through our contact portal or by visiting the foundation community desk on weekday mornings.
